How does the 14-day free trial work?

The firelet.media Gallery free trial lasts 14 days from the first time you open the program on a computer, with every feature switched on: no limit on pictures or folders, no watermark and nothing disabled. You don't need a card, an account or even an email address. When the 14 days end nothing is deleted, and your library stays browsable and searchable.

What the trial includes (everything)#

The trial is the full program, not a cut-down edition. The installer you download is the same one buyers use, so you can judge the gallery on your whole collection rather than a sample.

• Every feature: AI search by description, faces and people, text in photos, the map, import, scanning, the editor, export and the Wi-Fi link to a phone.
• No limits on how many pictures or folders you add.
• Nothing watermarked and nothing disabled.
• Your files are never altered. Ratings, albums, edits and corrections are kept in the gallery's own database.

The Licence window puts it plainly: "Trial: 14 of 14 days left · every feature · no limit on pictures or folders."

The macOS and Linux builds, which are being finished, use the same 14-day trial when they are available.

Where to see the days left#

1. Look at the top right of the title bar for the licence label. It reads Trial · 14d on the first day, then Trial · 13d and so on.
2. Hover over the label to see a tooltip such as "Trial — 12 days left — click for details".
3. Click the label to open the Licence window, which shows the days left, the Licence key box and a Buy firelet ($160) button.

What happens when the 14 days end#

The label changes to Trial over, and the gallery switches to a read-only way of working:

• Nothing is deleted. Your photos, albums, stars, keywords, edits and search index all stay.
• Everything already in the library can still be browsed and searched, including AI search results for pictures that were indexed during the trial.
• Nothing new is added. Scanning for new files, importing, AI indexing, finding faces, quality analysis, reading text, reading camera data, looking up places and receiving pictures from a phone all wait for a licence.

The status message says so directly: "The 14-day trial has ended, so nothing new is added to the library. Everything already in it can still be browsed and searched — enter a licence key to carry on where it stopped."

How to carry on: enter a licence key#

You can buy at any time during the trial or after it; there is no benefit to waiting until the last day. The price is $160 per computer, paid once. How to buy firelet.media Gallery covers the checkout.

1. Click the licence label (Trial · 5d, Trial over or similar) in the title bar.
2. Paste the key from your receipt email into Licence key. Dashes and capitals do not matter.
3. Press Activate. This needs the internet once.

When it works you will see "Activated. Everything is unlocked — your library is untouched and needs no rescan." Nothing is reinstalled or rebuilt: the gallery carries on exactly where it stopped. If new pictures were held back after the trial ended, the message asks you to press Rescan in the main window to add them.

Does the trial need an account or a card?#

No. The trial starts on your computer the first time you open the gallery, and it never asks for a card, an account or an email address. Nothing about your library is sent anywhere.

An account at firelet.media is only created when you buy, to keep your key safe. If you then change your mind, there is a 14-day refund with no reason needed.
